taylor775
What would recommend for the P5N32 E-SLI version. I have been able to get 4-4-4-12 @ 1T timings but I dont know what to change on the advanced timings.

I just changed my advanced to TRC@24 and TRFC@42, the rest on auto. How do these sound?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 14, 2007 Command Rate should be 2T with this system.
taylor775
Command Rate should be 2T with this system. I can hit it @1 with no problems. I have been using the main settings for about a week. Is there a problem with 1T or is it because alot of people have been getting crashes. This setup has been rock solid..
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 14, 2007 If the system is stable then its no problem, but Command Rate is not really a memory setting and would be dependent on the make and model of MB and PSU and the specific CPU you have installed. You might look this setting up on http://www.rojakpot.com and get a better explanation.

I was under the impression that 1was always better, for example DDR2800 with 4-4-4-12@1t was better than DDR21066 5-5-5-18@2t thanks for the link. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 15, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 15, 2007 Yes 1T is faster but if the system is not stable then it will not be faster.
taylor775
Yes 1T is faster but if the system is not stable then it will not be faster. Alrighty then. I just laxed my timings and went back to 5-5-5-18@2t timings to get 1066 speeds. So far so good. I also upped my memory to 2.1v and N/bridge to 1.4v. Advanced timings are all set to auto. i dont know about some people but it seems to me that 1066 @ 5-5-5-18 2T is faster than 4-4-4-12 @1t. I rmember reading on another article that the later is faster but it just seems that 1066 is faster to me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 16, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 16, 2007 In some cases I am sure it will be.
Kelbear
I would suggest these settings with XMS2-6400C4 modules. SLi ready: Disabled Memory Voltage: 2.0v NB Core Voltage: 1.4v TCL: 4 TRCD: 4 TRP: 4 TRAS: 12 Command Per Clock: 2 TRC: 24 I registered so that I can verify that the above settings solved the issue for me as well. The Asus P5N-E SLI BIOS as of the august update did not fix the issue, but this thread did.
