Sycraft
We have an old (2001 vintage) server who's PSU is failing. Getting rid of the server isn't an option so we are replacing the PSU. However, like a lot of systems of that vintage, it has an AUX connector on the motherboard. I don't know that it needs to be hooked up, the system is currently running on a test PSU without an AUX connector just fine, however I always like to provide all the power a board wants. So is an AUX connector something I can get for an HX PSU? They would be my first choice as to what to order, if I can get that.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 4, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 4, 2008 Unfortunately we could not recommend using any of our PSUs with this system. Our PSU is built to be backwards compatible with ATX 12v 2.01 spec or newer, and if the board was manufactured before 2003, it is unlikely that our PSU would be compatible.
