Paoloz
This afternoon I decided to buy another Twin2X2048-6400 G to reach 4 gb of ram! But , after installing the 2 Corsairs , as soon as i get into Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit I get blue screen of different kind: -irq not less or equal -management memory The memory isn't a bad part , because starting the Pc with the brand new memory , it's all fully working! The only differences between the 2 twinx is : the first one i buyed 8 months ago is ver 5.1 , the one i buyed today is ver 5.2 What should I do? Thank's to all! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 30, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 30, 2008 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test. Also You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. you can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com. Or SP1 Installed. Paoloz
I have a news about my situation! I discover that the 2 pack of twin2x2048 are different by timing: the old one is 5-5-5-12 , the new one is 5-5-5-18. Moreover windows vista 32 in task manager don't notice the 4 gb's ram but just 3 gb's! May this notice be helpful to find out a solution? Pls help me Ram Guy :-) Bye! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 2, 2008 It would be best to find another use for these modules and just get one set of Twin2x4096-6500C5DHX if you want 4 gig of memory.
