morgoth
greetings, i'm already trying 3 weeks to get my RAM to the specified 1600 MHZ and so i got loads of problems where some already have been solved (i hope so...) i've got a Q9550 @ 2,83 with FSB 333 and so i had to do some changes on my bios config: FSB: 400 * 8 FSB to RAM: 1:2 D.O.T: disabled EIST: disabled spread spectrum: disabled mps: 1.4 auto disable dimm/pci frequency: disabled IOAPIC: enabled if i enable the dsp auto config i get bsod's instantly at booting up... if i change the values by myself, i can boot up at following settings (most of the other settings ends up in an instant black screen and instant rebooting which means CMOS resetting...) but i get immediately crashes at the prime95 working threads (rounding failures) ... CAS 7 RAS to CAS 7 RAS 7 RAS Activate 20 TRFC 52 TWR 12 TWTR 12 TRRD 12 TRTP 12 MCH Read Delay (tRD) Auto 1N/2N Memory Timing 1N i've set up following voltages: CPU: 1,2375V RAM: 1,79V (lower or higher voltages result in bsods) FSB Term. Voltage: 1,27V NB: 1,42V earlier, if i tried to run the RAM with the DSP config i got a lower FSB, higher mult, higher voltages on RAM and NB... this caused ending up in horrible graphic failures and crashes in games like crysis... anyone knows the right settings for my RAM to get them work at the 1600? any changes to the voltage? hope anyone can help me thx morgoth
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 30, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 30, 2008 Please follow the link in my signature for the tested settings and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to make sure one is not failing. Also Command Rate should be 2T/2N.
