mlai
I am able to use my "old" parts lying around to assemble a home server. Parts include the Intel DX48BT2, and 2 packs of XMS3X4G1333C9DHX (1.7V) to make for 8G. CPU will be Q8200. Question is that will the XMS3X4G1333C9DHX work stable when deployed as 8G configuration on the DX48BT2? Even when all the parameters dialed in the BIOS at DDR3-1333 speed? Any suggestions on the timing parameters to be set in the BIOS? Many thanks for any suggestions or even just flat out telling me it will not work can save me a lot of time...... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 3, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 3, 2008 With more than one set DDR1066 would be suggested, but yes they should run fine. And I would set the memory Voltage to 1.8 Volts and set the NB/MCH to +.2 Volts over default.

But I will hate to run the RAM at 1066 as that's not why I bought a DDR3 platform for...... I could have used a DDR2-1066 platform which ischeaper and faster...... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 6, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 6, 2008 This is a loading issue on the MB or memory controller and if you use DDR1066 memory you would be limited to DDR667 or DDR800 with more than one set of modules.
