hayven
Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT 1GB Kit DDR400 XMS3200 Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2PT 2GB Kit DDR400 XMS3200 Is there any way to get these to work on an Asus a8n sli premium? When I use all four sticks the system hangs at the BIOS check  but it works with just three of the sticks in different setups (i.e. the two 1GB modules and one 512MB or viceversa). Thanks any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 29, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 29, 2008 with 4 modules you would need to set the memory frequency at DDR333 and I would set the memory Voltage to 2.75 Volts and set the timings manually to Cas 2.5-3-3-7. hayven
Thank you for your reply, I tried the suggested settings and the computer still hangs at boot. :(:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 2, 2008 Try setting the memory Voltage to 2.85 Volts and see if there is an option to set the NB Voltage to +.2 Volts.
hayven
Thanks for your continued support sorry I couldn't follow up before. Tried changing the voltage again and still no go, I couldn't find any option that resembles setting the NB Voltage to +.2 Volts. On a side note (I know doing things like this is probably a bad idea) but i set the RAM module in after booting to windows and CPU-z was able to identify it correctly but of course that RAM wasn't usable by the OS so at least i know the slot is working so it's got to be a settings issue but I've tried searching for a solution to my problem without any luck. Are there any other suggestions you could help me out with?
DerekT
You have a San Diego 3700+ or the ClawHammer 3700+? Download CPU-z from Here . Please post the CPU Screenshot. On a side note (I know doing things like this is probably a bad idea) but i set the RAM module in after booting to windows You know it was very likely a bad idea yet you still did it? DOH!!!! DO NOT INSERT MODULES AFTER BOOTING! You may have damaged your board.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2008 What slots do you have the modules in? Try them in the other two slots.
