lionel hampton
Hello,Ramguy I have a problem with the CM2x4096C5 G ver.4.1 kit. One stick installed no problem, two gives a problem. Bios won't start, screen stays dark, videocardventilator starts spinning fast. Bios default settings.I tried your solutions on this forum, increase volts, change clocktimings, change Mhz to 667 ,bios update and so on,nothing helps. When i take the second stick out, reboot ,i get the message "'Overclock failed!". One stick boots without problems.Have you a sololution for me or the other guys on the forum? Wired
Are you using all 4 sticks in the board at the same time?
lionel hampton
Are you using all 4 sticks in the board at the same time? No,I have tried, didn't work.Bios hangs. I have tried to use 3 sticks at the same time,1 stick twin2x2048-6400C5 G in the A1 memorybank,twin2x1024-6400C4 G in A2 and B1.this works, but bios recognize only 3008 MB. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 29, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 29, 2008 You should not mix memory it is hit and miss as you have found out. Just use the new modules Twin2x4096-6400C5 then load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 1.9 Volts and test the memory with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test. .

lionel hampton
Let's get them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Hello,i am back again.First i get my memory replaced, its now versions 3.1.its works now good and stable +i can use the memory what i already have,so now i am using totally 6 gb,what is mixed memory. The solution: 1.timings:5-6-6-18 on 533 Mhz-1.8 V 2.0ne stick 2048 on bank A1,the other on B1.Stick1024 on A2,the other on B2,gives 6144 mb. 3.Memory remap on Enabled in the bios. Problems:when you set memory on 667 Mhz,windows won't start, gives error, memory remap disabled gives 1024mb less memory in the bios, also windows won't start. I am so happy, that I forget to tell you about the problem I mentioned in the thread,Twin2x4096C5 G. works, both sticks on 800Mhz,5-6-6-18 on 1.8 V,Bank A1 and B1 gives 4096 MB.Lionel
