Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 23, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 23, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test. .

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 23, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 23, 2008 You will have to set the memory frequency at DDR1066 as well as the timings and Voltage manually in the MB BIOS.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 23, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 23, 2008 Did you try testing the modules one at a time to see if it was a failing module?
dan30tl
I've tested each module one at a time with 1066 5-5-5-15-2T 2.1V and both have the same problem: computer starts but windows get's blue screen on load. That does not happen when memory is on 800.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 24, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 24, 2008 Please use http://www.memtest.org to test the modules but if you are getting the same failure with both modules one up I would suspect some other problem. Have you called the MB maker and if so what do they say?
