sixten
I can't find any official specifications, so i'll ask here, what does a Corsair CMPSU-450VXEU draw when the computer is powered off? I've been going around with a power meter and its astounding that a power supply, even when its switched off in the back still draws about 10W  But my power supplys are old and could be replaced. OldGeezer
Even when switched off in the back? I thought that switch completely disconnected the power cord from the power source. At 120 volts, that is .083 amperes. I don't know what you are using for a wattmeter, but I suspect it needs to be calibrated. Of course you could have a leaky bypass capacitor on the input filter. I have the equipment to test that, but I doubt that you do.

I also thought it was pretty odd, turning the computer off should be enough to get down to less than 1W, i mean even TV's are down to 1W standby, and they even respond to the remote control. And switching it off in the back definately should be 0W. It could very well be a useless power meter that i got, if this is not how it should be.
