Gunske
Hi, First pair of slots (1-2); 2x1G Corsair 6400-C4 XMS-2 @ 4-4-4-12 2nd pair of slots (3-4); 2x1G Kingston 6400 @ 5-5-5-18 Now i got 3.25G RAM (win xp 32bit) @ 5-5-5-18. Is there a possibility to change the latency's of each pair? Also; What gives the best result, if you can't seperate the pair-latency's ? 2G Corsair C4@ 4-4-4-12 (or overclocked) or 3.25G(2G Corsair,2G Kingston) running @ 5-5-5-18? Wired
Mixing modules with different timings / different manufacturers is never recommended. You can't run one pair at one setting and another pair at a different setting. All memory in the system runs at the same settings. What are you using your system for? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 22, 2008 2G Corsair C4@ 4-4-4-12 (or overclocked) or 3.25G(2G Corsair,2G ********) running @ 5-5-5-18? This is something that is hard to answer as it would be more of how you use the system then which is faster. But with just two modules at DDR800 at Cas 4-4-4-12 would give the best performance.
