n0rd1c
I'm building a computer next week. I have every part chosen except for the power supply. I want to go with either the 520HX or the 650TX. The 650 is actually a few dollars less than the 520 from my retailer. Modularity is a bonus, but I'm not sure if it's really necessary. Which would be the most logical choice for my specs? Which is quieter and more efficient? Would using a power supply with more power than I need hinder it's performance? I've considered the 550vx but decided against it because it's not OEMed from Seasonic. Thanks.
JoeBob
If it's the one you list under system specs, the HX520W will be plenty. Personally, I like my HX620W better than my TX650W because of the modular cables, my cases aren't that big and the extra cables make a bit of clutter. But they're both stellar PSUs of course. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 22, 2008 Both PSUs you have mentioned would work just fine. You can also use our PSU Finder to see what would be recommended for your system.
