Peter_H
Hi, I recently bought a pair of Dominator CM2X1024-8500C5D 5-5-5-15 2.20V ver1.2 back in May 08. I started to have some issues with my computer a few days ago. I ran memtest+ on both sticks and it failed with 50000+ errors. I proceeded to remove 1 stick and it passed with just "Stick A". Then I tested "Stick B" and it failed so I concluded it was dead. I have instant product replacement with my retail shop so they gave me new sticks. I noticed these new sticks are now 2.10V and ver4.1, was there an issue with the 2.2V sticks? Now, I did not change any of the voltage on the sticks that died, I did change the Vcore for my CPU when I was overclocking my E8400 but I did not touch any of memory voltage just modified the bus speed during overclocking. So my memory voltage is set at Auto in my BIOS, will there be any problem hence the old memory sticks were 2.20V and these replacement ones are 2.10V? Or should I manually set it to 2.10V in the BIOS instead of having it on Auto? Thanks
Peter_H
No problem with these new sticks so far, I'm set the DRAM voltage in the BIOS to 2.1 manually just to make sure.
