Wired
Is it a QUAD kit or 2 TWIN2X kits? What voltage are you setting the DDR Voltage to?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 15, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 15, 2008 With 4 modules you would need to set the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and I would set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts. dajayguy
the 750i supports 1066mhz ram but it defaults to 800mhz and 5-5-5-18 timings when i set it to 1066 with 5-5-5-15 timings the system crashes with a blue screen and does a memory dump i have 4 1 gig sticks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 16, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 16, 2008 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.05 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 16, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 16, 2008 Yes I would run them at DDR800 at the tested settings and then test the system with http://www.memtest.org to make sure its stable.
dajayguy
why wont they work at 1066
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 18, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 18, 2008 why wont they work at 1066 I have already answered this question! But to add to it 4 up configuration are only supported with our Quad sets we do not test Twin2x sets in quad configurations and there is more loading on the MB and memory controller as well. With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.05 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
