Locksmiff
I have been putting together pieces week by week for a new system and wanted to get 8 gig of Dominator 1066. I have found corsair to work with the few asus boards I have had anything to do with so feel safe getting again for the M3A32-MVP Deluxe I purchased. I won't be using the ram straight away. I spoke to the shop I will be getting it from and asked could they guarantee I can get the 2 x 4 gig packs from the same batch, they said if I buy them at the same time I could. I didn't take much notice to the DDR Value ram I brought for my wifes computer to look for numberings to see if there was anything to give me a hint if they were from the same batch also I didn't have to worry to much about ram in hers as she has a gigabyte board and isn't perdantic. I was wondering is there any markings on the Dominator 1066 DDR 2 packaging that I can look out for when I buy it that will let me know if they came from the same batch. Locksmiff
Thanks for that. I came across the link you supplied yesterday. I was wondering about the LOT numbers will they also be the same if the 2 lots of 2x4 came from the same batch.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 16, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 16, 2008 I am sorry but I do not understand your question, but if they are all in one package and sold as a set they will all have the same lot number. Locksmiff
I am sorry but I do not understand your question, but if they are all in one package and sold as a set they will all have the same lot number.I am going to be buying 8 gig of ram in total, by buying 2 4 gig packs. I am curious can 2 4 gig packs have the same lot number or the lot number is pack specific, meaning no 2 packs have the same lot number.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 17, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 17, 2008 Yes they could all be the same lot, the lot number comes from a lot of IC's we get and usually it is 200-1000 modules per lot.
