Platiumx
In my current setup I have 2x2 DDR2 800 and 2x1 DDR2 800 sticks. Both are corsair XMS2. I was using my computer today and my computer blue screened. I never got a blue screen for months. THe computer would now start booting and bluescreen before the loggin. SO the computer is restarting. I figured it might be the ram so I tried running memtest 86 and I found a problem with the ram. I tried taking out he sticks and testing them one by one. I figured only one stick was not working. I replaced the other ram and now it's running perfectly fine and memtest is passing. so basically the one gig stick is not working and more, I believe it's bad. I never had an issue with crosair. :\ CM2x1024-6400C4 G
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 15, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 15, 2008 CM2x1024-6400C4 G If this is the part number of the failed module, then please make sure you have set the memory voltage to 2.1 volts and test both 6400C4 modules one at a time in the slot closest to the CPU. If one of the modules fails and the other works, then we will need to replace both of them for you. However, if you get errors with both of them, that would usually suggest some other problem. If the same module is still failing then lets get the pair replaced. Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
