New 750TX issue!!

Hello there,

I just built a new system , I had many bsod, freeze and restart issues, now it got less seems it does after long hours of use or on heavy loads, in games particulary after 1-2hrs play, I can't put a diagnostic, I tested RAM is ok, I tested GPU in 3dmark06 and had few freezes and last time it pased , I've did many fresh OS install and GPU drivers, it made me think that is GPU or PSU.

My PSU fan barely has a low airflow like a CPU fan, hard to feel it even under load and is very hot, nor inside the case doesn't look to draw any air, IS THIS NORMAL for 140mm fan??

Please, need advice I don't know what else to do with those freezes!!!

I even tried XPsp2 and still same, if you need more informations I'll do!

Hi !

I tried a begining of test with 2 simultaneously run and set affinity core 0,1 and 2,3 but it says in first panel something about a warnning affinity.. and the panel below its testing core 1 and on the other run its says core 3, even that in task manager all 4 cores are full load, why it is written only core 1 and 3! do I missed any settings?

When I've run it for few minutes the temps for 0,1,2 cores were aroun 63C and core 3 was 70C, is that means I didn't use right the termal paste??

And in full load the PSU didn't change fan speed!

To stress all four cores you may need to run two instances of Orthos and manually assign the cores to each instance using the task manager. The PSU is not going to increase the fan speed until you put 50% load on the PSU. This is going to be around 350 watts, which your system probably can not pull without stressing the video card along with the CPU. Was Orthos failing? How long did it run?

Hello Ram Guy ,

Yes it failed the instance with core 2,3, and i noticed the core 3 it's been always hot then others(like 0,1,2= 62-63C and 3=67-68C), now what should I do , is it CPU bad !!

I've run it with the stock cooler cause I didn't meant to do any OC, is that bad? had bad time to mount it anyway, I used AS5, what I did wrong?

How long did it take to fail? It seems like there may be a problem with the CPU, you may want to see if there are any BIOS updates for your motherboard. Are you overclocking the CPU at all, or is it left at the default settings?

Thank you for fast reply!

right now I had another bsod, I was only browsing with I.E ,had opened 7pages and bang!

CPU at stock, it took 4hrs, and I'm not sure if is the bios of motherboard causing this , if I change the bios I may loose warranty but if I know for shore this is the problem I would deffinately upgrade bios(there are 3new bios ver upgrade available).

After the bsod I looked at temps and were ok, I don't know what should I do!

I would definitely update the BIOS if there are updates available, this will not void your motherboards warranty. To make sure there is not a software/driver conflict causing the issues you may want to retest with Orthos in safe mode. If you still have failures in safe mode then there is a good chance that the issues you are having are coming either from a faulty piece of hardware, or a configuration/BIOS issue.
