ChetShannon
Hello, My survivor 16gb flash drive is taking like 2 minutes and 12seconds to save a 500kb file. Any ideas how I can see why it's taking so long? It seems like it's been taking longer and longer but I'm not sure that's the case. How does one troubleshoot this? Best regards, Chet Shannon
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 10, 2008 Please try to format the drive from a command prompt with this syntax: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) then try the HDBENCH v3.40 Beta 6 to test the performance. And please do a full format of the drive before you run the test and set it to 100 MB file size. Read should be about 24-30 MBps and Write should be about 8-14 MBps
ChetShannon
Hi, I formatted the flash drive as indicated and then ran the test. I have the results of the test but cannot determine what the test results mean. The test results are read 30188, write 15311, random read 29784, random write 3875. Please let me know what the results mean and what to do next. Thanks, Chet
