hydrochelle
Just received my HX520 psu in the mail, don't have full computer built but I hooked up my giant 255 mm case fans to it plugged it into a power strip and bam! nothing happened. All wires connect correctly to the fans considering their marked so its easy but no power whatsoever from psu. Now am I suppose to have connected to a motherboard or something first before seeing if it works or is my psu bad?:eek::(::mad::roll:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 5, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 5, 2008 The PSU will not turn on unless you have the 24-pin connector plugged into a motherboard. However, you can bypass the motherboard by doing THIS.
