wun911
I won these corsair CM2X1024-8888C4D as gold plated modules thus I dont have a reciept. They were replaced about a year ago via RMA now they are normal black ones. I have problems with them today on my new MB an Evga 780i FTW. I was running them in a 1:1 FSB to DRAM ratio at only 800 mhz on 4.4.4.12 T2 times and I encountered lots of problems like installing games, cant run ORTHOS etc etc. Also just a side note the MB did not detct them as SLI ready ram? But the modules are on the Evga 780i offical suport list. I have performed memtest86+ and had a few errors. (while on mild settings of 800 mhz 4.4.4.12 T2 times. (I know they have a lot more potential) I dont have another MB to test them on however my old RAM, a pair of Corsair XMS2 pro series works fine on the MB without any errors in Memtest 86+ using 800Mhz 5.5.5.15 T2 times. I know these were a gift from you guys but am I entitled to an RMA?? Regards wun911
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2008 I would suggest testing them on an older MB to be sure but that module is no longer available and they will likely give you another part to replace it. What are the exact settings you had set for both CPU and memory?
wun911
I have an E6850 stock fsb I OCed it to 400 aka 1600 FSB on an Evga 780i FTW. A ran it linked 1:1 FSB:DRAM ratio. The oldest MB I have atm is a Gigabyte P35 DS4, it also has glitches on that MB. Tested using one stick at a time with memtest 86+ on 800 Mhz at 4.4.4.12 T2 times. They dont make these modules anymore??? What would be the replacement modules may I ask???
