astrotzky
Hello, I'm planning to buy a ASUS Maximus II Formula motherboard and I was wondering if the TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF will be compatible with it. I didn't saw that memory on ASUS Qualified Vendor List. I know it will probably work. I am asking if this has been tested and if no problem was found. Has anyone used this memory together with this motherboard? Do they work without problems? Thank you.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2008 Yes they will run great on that MB and we may not have sent them any modules is why its not on their list. Please look up your system on our memory configurator.
MrReis
Will the ASUS Maximus II Formula motherboard continue to work great if the CPU is overclocked (via the FSB)? I have found posts on some (other) forums that claim that the memory of interest here is not stable if the CPU is overclocked. Replies to this observation suggest something about less RAM voltage would help stability. I have never overclocked and this is all new to me. - Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 10, 2008 I know of no problems with over clocking this MB, but one would need to know the limitation of the MB and CPU you have would be the only thing.
