capacen
I had a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP motherboard with a 512 MB stick of XMS PC2700 memory. The board had MAJOR issues. Instead of having a capacitor soldered onto the old board and having it mailed back to me...I bought a new board. I got the Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 and a second 512MB stick of XMS PC2700 memory. The new board and the new stick of ram work rather well together. Every time I put the old stick of memory in the new board, I get nothing. No lights, no beeps, no fans spinning, NOTHING. I think the old motherboard must have done something to the old stick of memory. Please tell me if there is something that I should try or if I need to RMA the old memory. Both sticks of RAM are v1.3 and the same Model. Thanks
