icefusion
Hello, first time, I'm brazilian and my English is bad, but I go to try to say what happens with my excellent power supply. I buy this power supply a 1 week ago, and when i go turn on for a first time in the day, it makes a high noise. It seems that the Cooler is released, but that only happens in 10 to 20 seconds ... And this is only the first time a day, one day to another. is turn off and then turn on again, the noise is not true. What happens with my power supply, i don't see any problem in voltages, and don't have some noise during it work, after the 10 to 20 seconds!!! i'm waiting a response. Very thank's for all, and one more time, so sorry for bad english!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 29, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 29, 2008 The noise would not indicate a problem with the power supply, and can can be caused by any number of things. If it is bothersome enough that you can over hear it while you are using the system, then we can try replacing it for you, however it sounds like you only hear it for about 20 seconds or so when you initially boot the system. If thats the case, then it is probably not worth sending the unit to us for a replacement. If it gets worse or you have any problems then we can definitely replace it for you. icefusion
I found the problem. I found a little piece of acrylic loose inside the source that pegava in cooler. I could withdraw it without opening the source. Apparently it is a fine acrylic that protects a coil which is next to a large capacitor blue. Do you think I have a problem? icefusion
look this pictures of a Brazilian site of hardware : http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/fullimage.php?image=20810 http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/fullimage.php?image=20812 I see the acrilic between a CI and a Big Coil!I think that's to protect the CI. Then I have to trade the power supply with the Seller??Or I can leave it without this acrilic???
