xicemanx
I have a question, Is it ok to run two sticks of ram in channel b alone (slots 2 & 4)? I have a large cooler and the fan for the ram won't fit in with ram running in channel A (slots 1&3). They get very hot and afraid that they will overheat. Also if need to replace cooler to accomodate the ram fan in Channel A, is it better to get the fan blowing right to left or one that has a fan facing you ( i have a tower case) so it does not interfere with the ram fan trying to cool the ram. Keep in mind ram fan faces you. Seen it done with cooler blowing right to left and ram fans next to it, but have not seen results.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2008 Should be fine as long as the system is stable but adding memory cooling would be a good idea if they are much over 120 Deg F.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2008 No you would have to use a digital thermometer or some type of Temp Probe, what is the inside case temp?
