phaded
I'm looking to upgrade the memory on my older PC to 2gb's as this is the max it will take. However I can't find which memory would be compatible as I can't find the make of my motherboard in the test i've taken. Manufacturer: Elitegroup (ECS) Model: SiS-661 Chipset: SiS 661/FX All I know is that it takes DDR SDRAM, it currently has 512mb of Samsung RAM in it. At the moment i've got a bid on Corsair 2gb RAM on eBay CORSAIR XMS 2GB it's DDR400 PC3200 DDR SDRAM ram which is the max I know my motherboard can take. Appreciate any help thanks. phaded
Thank you for this. However is it only those RAM shown that will work on this Motherboard? because I was hoping for some faster ram like part of the XMS range.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 27, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 27, 2008 I would not suggest it for that MB. Sorry!
