sentofuno
i've read through the threads here related to this combination, sorry to have to go through it all again but i can't seem to find a definitive answer i have and asus striker extreme and a pack of TWIN2X4096-6400C5G, which i want to run as standard, no overclocking or anything. can someone let me know what the correct BIOS settings are for this situation? the thread http://www.asktheramguy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64075&highlight=twin2x4096-6400c5g+striker+extreme i will save for when i get a second pack of this pair of RAMs, but for now i just want the vanilla settings for 2x2GB thanks in advance
sentofuno
also, since my last post i tried increasing the RAM voltage to 1.9v and it still didn't work. so i reset the CMOS and put back the 1GB ADATA stick i'd been using until i could get this CORSAIR RAM. and that doesn't POST either now. the ADATA is back in the same (3rd) slot as it was before, so back in the original working configuration but still nothing, no POST or beeps. i went through the CORSAIR support wizard which suggests i RMA the RAM, but i very much doubt thats the problem any help appreciated, thanks in advance
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 22, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 22, 2008 If the system will not post with either modules ours or another makers there is probably something wrong with the MB or CPU.
