bviperz
Hey all, wondering how to properly setup 3500LLPRO (3G worth) in my A832-SLi mobo. I have 2 1024 sticks (slots 1/3) and 2 512 sticks (slots 2/4). Right now everything is at auto in the bios except the ddr voltage, which is set to 2.75v. I really don't want to mess with the CPU settings, if will if I must to get the 3500 to run as it was supposed to. I have a AMD FX-60 for the brain and would like to keep it running at stock. Here's what I see in CPU-Z (version 1.46) under memory tab (top to bottom, left to right): Type: DDR Channels #: Dual Size: 3072 MBytes Timings DRAM Frequency: 200.9MHz FSB:DRAM: CPU/13 CAS#: 2.0 RAS# to CAS#: 3 RAS# Percharge: 2 Cycle Time: 6 Bank Cycle Time: 11 Command Rate: 2T DRAM Idle Timer: 16 Now I now these puppies are supposed to run 2-3-2-6 timings but is 200.9MHz frequency right? And under the SPD tab (back in CPU-Z) shows Max Bandwidth of PC3200 (200 MHz). Is that right? By the way, I have had these for a while now and have had no problems whatsoever, just wanted to make sure these are doing what they were meant to be doing at the speed they were meant to be going. Just been procrastinating for so long to post something. So please, be detailed with any instructions you gonna dish out, especially if you gonna make me do BIOS settings. Thanks for any help you all can give.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 20, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 20, 2008 Yes you will have to over clock the CPU to get these running at 217 Mhz
bviperz
Thanks RamGuy for the response. Can I please get the play-by-play (step-by-step instructions)? Or if theres a thread with the instructions, that would be cool too.

bviperz
Tried it, now the memory tab in CPU-Z shows DRAM Frequency at 217.0MHz. Is that what it's supposed to be?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 21, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 21, 2008 Yes 217 MHz X 2 = DDR434MHz so that is correct for that set of modules.
