Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 Try and lower the CPU multiplier and see if that helps if not try and lower the CPU Freq a bit and see if that will help and for sure make sure that you have the latest BIOS and load setup defaults before you set the settings and you might try the modules in the other two slots if the problem persists. Mitko
I tried everything you said, RAM GUY. I have the latest BIOS version - 1103. In some threads I read that they flashed their bios to 704 and helped them, but I don't wanna risk, because my RAM might not run on 1600 MHZ. By the way: so far it's stable for 2 hours. I'm gonna play some games and see if it's okay. If the problem persists, I will write back here.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 You would have to over clock the CPU to 400 Mhz 1600 FSB to run the memory at DDR1600 but if its stable I would let the BIOS mature a bit more as I am sure it will get better. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 15, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 15, 2008 And to run the memory at DDR1600 you will need a CPU that will over clock to 1600 FSB.
Mitko
I know that, but the problem is the RAM TW3X4G1600C9DHX on P45 chipset. You mentioned in a thread, that it might run below 1600 MHZ on these chipsets.
