Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 With 4 modules DDR667 would be suggested and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.05 Volts. And leave the Memory timings at Auto. Also You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. Or SP1 installed, You can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 Just go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts in Jumper Free and set NB/NB SPP Voltage to 1.45 Volts and the Memory Frequency to DDR667 in Jumper Free or in Advanced Chipset. dik
I can change the memory voltage to 2.013v, cant see NB/NB SPP Voltage, there is NB Core Voltage, Vcore offset voltage and Vcore voltage. The memory Frequency, is that under FSB & Memory Config? I can set it to Auto, Linked or Unlinked, to change (Fsb (QDR), Mhz = 1066.7 or Mem (DDR), mhz = 800.0) Just want to be sure that it is the right things we're talking about ? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 Yes set the NB Core Voltage and yes it should be in FSB & Memory Config for the memory Frequency.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 You need to be using http://www.memtest.org to test the system and did you load setup defaults when you changed the memory and then set the timings and Voltage? dik
now I took out the new ram, but it doesent work, it should work like it did before i put in the new ram.´ it still just shows loading windows and black screen. :(:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2008 Please use http://www.memtest.org so you do not corrupt your install of Windows! And with just one of the new modules I would try and clear the BIOS with the CLRTC jumper on the MB and then turn it on and load setup defaults in the BIOS and set the tested settings and Voltage for the modules you have and then test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org.
