Jokerhv
Hello, I’m having an issue with the PC locking up during loads (i.e. OS or Drivers). I have the following motherboard and memory. I need to know the correct settings for my bios. I’m kinda looking for a set by set help. I’m clueless.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 11, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 11, 2008 You can get the tested settings from the link in my signature and just make sure that you have the latest BIOS and load setup defaults before you set the tested timings and Voltage. Jokerhv
I found one bad memory stick in that package. I received my new package just the other day. I can run one (1) 2GB stick in any DIMM slot at 5-5-5-15 2T 2.1V with no problems. When I install the 2nd stick, the pc will freeze on boot up, game load up or sometimes in game. I have tried switching from DIMM 1/3 to 2/4 with the same issues. Suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2008 Let's get them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them.
Jokerhv
Before i do that (which this would be the 2nd set of memory replaced) I have another question. Could it possible be the motherboard? I'm able to run either memory stick by itself at all required settings in any DIMM slot. The only reason i ask is because i one have two days left to exchange my board. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2008 Yes it could be a the MB and if there is a BIOS Update I would suggest trying that first. But if both modules will run one up with out problem but not when in dual channel I would get the MB and or BIOS checked.
