jochar
Hi. I wanna run 4x1gb of dominator stix @800MHz only support 667MHz due memory controller limitations. Will phenom help me. Technical Support With two modules installed on this board you should be able to run at 800MHz, however if you are using 4 modules in the system then you may be limited to DDR667 due to limitations of the memory controller. To make sure you do not have a failing module, I would recommend that you test each module individually with http://www.memtest.org, with the following settings: Memory Frequency: 800MHz (667MHz if you are running 4 modules together) Memory Voltage: 2.1 v TCL: 4 TRCD: 4 TRP: 4 TRAS: 12 Command Per Clock: 2T 8/7/2008 12:51:54 PM Me Tanks for the info. would it help if i upgraded the cpu to amd phenom 4 core which has got different memory controller (1066MHz limit instead of 800MHz for athlon). Would the rams run at speeds 800MHz 4 slots. Thanks. 8/8/2008 5:24:38 PM Technical Support Using the Phenom would give you a bit more overhead and you may be able to run the memory at 800MHz with all four modules, but it will still be hit and miss. I would say it would be very likely that you would be able to run them at 800MHz, but there is no way I could guarantee it. Can someone tell me if it works. I wanna buy Phenom 9350E. Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 12, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 12, 2008 Why beat your head against the wall just get one set of Twin2x4096-8500C5DF modules and be done with it, you will get better performance and it will cost less than 4 1.0 Gig modules.:brick:

jochar
UPDATE: I now have Phenom x4 9750 and DOMINATOR CM2X2048-8500C5D but i cant get the system stabe, not even underclocked from 1066 to 800 or even 666 :( I tried AMD ATHLON X2 6000+ and 5200+ with those rams but still unstable, I tried different motherboard too ABIT Fatal1ty AN9 32X with both cpus but still unstable. I even tried ASUS P5E board with Intel 8200 Quad CPU, still no luck. Any ideas anyone??? PS: The rams pass MEMTEST 4.00 on rated speeds.

jochar
Random Blue Screens even after fresh OS install Vista/XP/Win7 even Debian Linux is unstable and keeps hanging after a while. The blue screens keep changing win32k.sys non_paged_area and so on I didnt get beyond couple of hours of uptime on any of the systems
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 10, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 10, 2009 We have posted this before with running or mixing memory have you tried these settings? With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
