TWINX2048-8500C5D & Asus Commando

My apologies in advance for being technically challenged when it comes to understanding what it is I'm actually talking about here, but here goes.

I have 4x1GB sticks of TWINX2048-8500C5D on an Asus Commando motherboard that I've recently upgraded cpu's from an E6600 to an E8500 using bios 1703.

CPUZ "Memory" tab reports:

DRAM Frequency - 333.7Mhz

FSB:DRAM - 1:1

CAS# Latency - 5.0 clocks

RAS# to CAS# Delay - 6 clocks

RAS# Precharge - 6 clocks

Cycle Time - 15 clocks

Command Rate - 2T

CPUZ "CPU" tab reports:

CPU Core Speed - 3170.3 Mhz

Multiplier - 9.5

Bus Speed - 333.7 Mhz

Rated FSB - 1334.7 Mhz

Other than RAM voltage upped to 2.2v in bios, everything else is running at stock speeds, no overclocks.

Does this look right?

Thanks,

Randy

set timing to 5-5-5-15

command rate: 2t

increase northbridge voltage if system doesnt boot with these settings to +1.5v.

you could try setting dram frequency to 400mhz (makes pc6400)

Maximum DDR2 recommended VDIMM: 2.2 Volts for Rev 1.x and 2.1 Volts for Ver. 2.X

Hi All !

Well I'd just like to use my Corsair memory at his best so I'd like to manually set the parameters on my motherboard.

Memory modules are 1024 Mo PC2-8500 Dominator and the motherboard is an Asus Commando with BIOS v. 1605.

I've found some of the parameters :

- DRAM CAS Latency : 5

- DRAM RAS to CAS Delay : 5

- DRAM RAS Precharge : 5

- DRAM Activate to Precharge : 15

- DRAM Write Recovery time : 5

That's ok for those ones.

But here is a couple of parameters I don't know how to set the values :

- DRAM TRFC (default value is set to 42)

- DRAM TRRD (default set to 10)

- DRAM Rank Write to Precharge Delay (set to 10)

- Read to precharge delay (set to 10)

- Write to precharge delay (set to 11)

I read posts where it says that Command rate should be 2T but I can't find the Command rate setting on my MoBo.

Hope you some one can help to set those values correctly !

Thanks a lot,

King regards,

Laurent

The tested settings can be found on the link in my signature, and any setting not listed should be left at Auto or BIOS default so load setup defaults and set the tested settings manually.

If you want to tweak the settings that are not listed I would try the BIOS Optimization Guide at http://www.techarp.com/ However it looks like their site is down ATM.
