Moonbat
Hi i have an HX620w it's powering a q6600 at it's default clock speed, 2 gb ram, couple of hard-drives, a dvd drive and an 8800GTX. Using pc wizard 2008 or SpeedFan the voltage on the 12V rail is reported to be 11.35V which seems a bit low - is that a problem? If it is, is there something i can do about it? Cheers Moonbat
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 9, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 9, 2008 What does it read in the MB bios?
Moonbat
Ah it's 12.04 in the Bios settings, does that mean that pc wizard/ speedstep are wrong or that the voltage drops when stuff other than just the bios is being run?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 9, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 9, 2008 Software and BIOS readings can be fairly inaccurate. The only way to know for sure would be to use a digital multimeter, but normally if you are not having any power related, or stability issues, there is nothing to worry about.
