I would set to DDR400 with 3-3-3-7 and test with Memtest. You should be fine filling all three slots and running at DDR400

Actually, due to the chipset limitations (and also due to the JEDEC recommendations for DDR memory), DDR333 is advised when filling all three DIMM slots with memory. Also, DDR333 is also advised with some versions of the Athlon XP 3000+ processor due to the fact that the 3000+ was available in both FSB333 and FSB400 versions.

So would I see better performance with two DDR400 DIMMs or three DDR333 DIMMs? Would you still recommend setting it to 3-3-3-7 with DDR333?

Try it with 400Mhz at 3-3-3-7 and test with Everest. Then try it with 333Mhz and test with 2.5-3-3-7, both at 2.7v.

Download Everest Trial Version from here -->

Install Everest and right click on the (i) icon in the system tray. Choose Tools --> Cache and Memory Benchmark. Run the Benchmark and post the finished screenshot of both results.

Inquiring minds want to know :)

Be sure to test both settings with Memtest:
