briansblair
I pulled my Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton) and two sticks of Corsair XMS2700 RAM off of an ASUS A7V333 and am putting them on an ABIT AN7 mobo. My question is this, even though I purchased each stick of memory at a different time, can I run it in the Dual Channel Configuration that is supported by the board? My memory info is as follows: CMX512-2700C2PT XMS2700v1.3 s/n 0306054 CMX512-2700C2 XMS2700v1.4 s/n 0351010 Thanks. -Brian
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 26, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 26, 2004 You are welcome to try it, however the suggested timings would be Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well.
briansblair
Thanks. I will let you know what happens. Not having any experience with dual channel mobos, how will I know if it is working in Dual Channel mode (or is it a case of..If the computer works, then the dual channel is working)? :D:

briansblair
Well, it looks like the memory is running in Dual Channel Mode. When I get everything setup I will try to run some Benchmarks with the memory in different slots to see how much of a difference it makes.
