vhync
Could I use TWINX2048RE-3200 on my Abit KD7? until I upgrade to an Opteron/64FX in 2 to 3 months time (hopefully). The manual states that up to 3GB of registered PC3200 is supported. Also Abit has a FAQ answered with this "KD7 can boot up with ECC memory modules installed, but without ECC function". Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 21, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 21, 2004 Honestly, we would not have tested these modules with this MB! However, the chipset used with ABIT KD7, is made by VIA KT400 Chipset would support registered memory, however I am not sure if support was implemented in the MB layout. You might ask ABIT if they can test the MB as I do not have one that I would be able to verify if it's compatible.
