Amadeus
My A64 3200 on an Asus K8v deluxe was partnered with a Corsair CMX512-3200C2PT and it was all dandy. I added exactly the same stick, the computer wouldnt post, no beeps all fans fine, gave a message "Dimm timing mismatch". System failed. Took out the extra ram, booted and the motherboard fried  So, got new motherboard, installed the gig of ram again - Same message  Took out the ram, motherboard didnt fry  Now im running on my old 2100 DDR, with two stick of Corsair 512 sitting here and im wondering what to do - try them again? They are both the same, the only difference I can see is that my original has v1.2 and the new one has v.3.1 ??Help - are they busted?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 21, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 21, 2004 Please try just the new module, and reset the MB bios. let's see if it will post with the new module by it self. Also with 2 single XMS3200C2 modules the suggested settings would be, Cass 2.5-3-3-7, and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well.
