PSU compatiblity

I am building a system with a Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R motherboard and was looking at either the HX520 or the VX550. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Gigabyte motherboards require the -5V connection. Can anyone verify if the Corsair supplies (which I know do not have the -5) will work with this board?

The -5 volt rail was eliminated from current ATX 12V spec 2.0+ in 2003-2004, it would be unlikely that a new board would require the -5 volt rail. You will need to confirm this with Gigabyte to be sure.
