neverfastenough
I'm building a Athlon 64 system, using the MSI K8T Neo FIS2R mainboard. I want to purchase a gig of ram in two 512mb sticks pc 3200. I do not heavy overclock, but will be using RAID on my new system. Are there any conciderations to make concerning raid as far as memory purchase is concerned. Also is it better to purchase one gig stick over two 512 mb sticks. I would like to have the abilty to over clock a small amount also. Can you tell me exactly what Corsair memory I need to buy for my motherboard and configuration? Anyone? :sigh!:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 17, 2004 You can use either 2x CMX512-3200LL or 1x CMX1024-3200. The advantage of using two LL sticks is that the memory will run at lower latencies giving you more bandwidth and speed. Using a single stick will allow you to expand to more than 1 gig in the future but you will be running higher timings. The best bet would be 2x CMX512-3200LL. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!
