Somatic
I need to know the transfer rate for the voyager 8gb non GT version flash drive.. Amazon lists read speed at 31MB/s and write at 12MB/s.. Is this correct?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 23, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 23, 2008 I don't have the information in front of me but I will check on Monday for you. However I don't think the read is that high about 29 MBps read if I remember correctly but the write is about right.
reciprocity
RAMGUY, can I ask what the guaranteed speeds for the 2GB and 4GB versions of the non-GT Flash Voyager would be as well?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 24, 2008 I am sorry we do not publish that information. if you have a problem with the drive let us know and we will be happy to address it. 8 Gig FV non GT will read speed about 9.1 MB/s and write at 3.3 MB/s
reciprocity
Ah okay. Sorry to hear that. Just a follow-up question. All things considered will the 2GB and 4GB Flash Voyagers be faster or slower than the 8GB version?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 24, 2008 It does not matter as they are no longer available at this point. But if they were 8 Gig FV would be faster than 2 or 4 Gig.
reciprocity
Really? They still sell 2GB and 4GB non-GT FVs here in the Philippines. Not sure if they're official distributors though. Anyway, thanks for the help Ram Guy. :)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 25, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 25, 2008 If they are older stock they might be SLC based and will perform faster, but if they were made in the last 6 months they will most likely be MLC based and the performance spec's I posted in this thread will apply. Salamat Po!
