TWIN2X4096-9136C5D on eVGA 680i

Recommended Posts

Just playing around with some new modules and ended up getting some pretty impressive results. Not complete by any means, and still trying to figure out why the benchmarks get worse going over 600 MHz on the memory. For now.... enjoy.

PSC from what I have read. I dont think Corsair has used any other IC for the high end 2GB modules (8500 and 9136). Although I haven't inspected them close enough to see if they could be the Elpida die. Since they dont like voltage I am pretty sure there not Micron. The "Dominator" heatsinks are harder to get off than what I would like... ;):

Very high bin then. My 8500C5's will not run unless I set the tRFC to Auto as 42 is as loose a manual setting as I can apply. What is your tRFC?

I have not seen Micron release any information regarding IC's capable of 2GB sticks. I have seen the [rucial 8500C5's but [rucial does not necessarily go with Micron IC's. [rucial is a subsidiary that can and does use other IC's. Have you seen Micron IC's in the 2GB 8500C5 sticks?

Micron has 1GB die, they have for some time. Mush|<in had 2GB sticks awhile back that would do 8500 based on Micron. Just killed the die off and replaced it with a slower 1GB IC that would not do it. Another shot with full timings below.
