Download memtest from--->
and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk.

Enter your BIOS and set to these values:

Multiplier = 10

FSB = 266

DRAM = Unlinked and set to 1066Mhz

Memory Timing

FSB - Memory Clock Mode: Unlinked

CPU FSB: 266

CPU Multi: 10

DDR FSB: 1066

tCL: 5

tRCD: 5

tRP: 5

tRAS: 15

Advanced Memory Settings

tRRD: 5

tRC: 24

tWR: 6

tWTR: 8

tREF: AUTO

tRD: 7

tRFC: 42

Async Latency: AUTO

CMD: 2T

Voltages

Vcore = Auto

Vdimm (DRAM Voltage) = 2.1v

Termination Voltage = Auto

1.2v HT: Auto

NB Vcore: 1.35v

SB Vcore: Auto

CPU VTT: Auto

Boot to the Memtest CD. Allow for two full passes.

Results?

Hi did what you recommended as good as I could

I COULD NOT FIND IN BIOS 1503 striker extreme HOW TO SET

Multiplier = 10

FSB = 266

i DID EVERYTHING ELSE YOU SAID

UNLINKED TO 1066

55515

5 24 6 8 AUTO 7 42 AUTO

the way my bios is set up is as follows

FSB Memory Clock Mode : Unlinked

FSB Memory Ratio Mode set to(auto) I dont know what is 1:1, 5:4, 3:2. sync mode is (*if you could let me know what is correct setting here is ?)

FSB (QDR)MHz Actual 1066 mhz

Memory (DDR) MHz 800 MHZ DEFAULT I change this to 1066 as requested

Also one small note on my specific Bios 1503 the setting you posted above in Advanced Memory settings called "CMD:2T" There is no setting there at all in advanced there is however an ability to set clock to value 2T in regular memory settings and every time I do set that to 2t ,the system crashes and does not boot at all only option to go back to bios

Mem Test results

WallTime Cach RsvdMem MemMax Cach ecc Test pASS ERRORS

1:33 4096 52m E820-std ON off STD 2 TIMES None

No errors all passed perfect

Memory still stays at 800mhz and does not change to 1066mhz

Still no luck in ability to use epp settings even when I changed all the settings I could

Please let me know any other ideas

I don't know why you can not find the settings. This is from the Striker Extreme Manual. Maybe you need to flash your BIOS to the latest version. Please do NOT show angry faces. Angry faces make me want to stop helping.

sorry for doing the face thing I was just frustrated with Asus really I am very happy with the TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF because I previously had 4x1 TWIN2X2048-8500C5D and as you know and I now know 2 sticks are better than 4

checking out the additional stuff now and I post results tomorrow Thanks for helping out!

ps: I am using the latest bios 1503 and they may be a bug in the bios itself because there are many people complaining that they cannot overclock that bios only time will tell

Just a heads to Corsiar and the Asus Striker Extreme Bios 1503 has a bug in it and does not allow saving of memory info!

So I downgraded to bios 1305 and can run the memory at 1066 MHZ

Thanks for everything and great help !

You will have to use the AFUDOS and boot to Win9X Boot Disk and flash it from a HDD or Flash Drive from DOS. I would strongly you talk to the MB maker and have them help you so you do not end up with a dead MB.
