Similar Voyager 4G issue - with Windows 2000

Hola!

I am having a similar issue with my Voyager 4G.

I have been using this USB without prob in many 'net cafe's, friends computers, Macs, PCs in Europe. I get back to Australia, put it into my Windows 2000 laptop, and it doesn't read. Usually doesn't even give an error message.

Is there a driver or other software that i need to install to make it all work?

Cheers

Hi

I did have service Pack 2 installed (ps it is XP, not 2000 I have installed, my mistake).

I checked out the MS site and found an answer - imagine that...

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873169

It turned out the usb device was disabled. By following the troubleshoot i was able to enable it: :):

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install Windows XP SP2, and then update the drivers for the USB devices that are connected to your computer. To update these drivers, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

2. Double-click the type of device that you want to update.

3. Double-click the specific device that you want to update.

4. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.

5. Follow the instructions in the Hardware Update Wizard.

6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each USB device.

Thanks heaps for your prompting questions.

Cheers
