dead sstick of TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX?

I just installed a set of these in my DFI LanParty LT X38-T2R with an E8400 CPU. At first I turn it on and nothing. I try one stick and nothing again. I try a different set of 2x2GB and it posts just fine.

 

I enter BIOS, set my timings to 4-4-4-12@2.1V and power off, unplug PSU, hit power button repeatedly, and then swap memory. I power on and no post again. I try one stick and it boots. I swap other stick and no post.

 

I then try other stick, slow timings down to 5-5-5-15@2.1V and it posts with good stick. I swap for bad stick and no post again.

 

I can't return them until Tuesday, so I thought I'd try here for any suggestions on getting them to work properly. Maybe some other settings to try.

If one stick will not even post I would look into RMA'ing the set.

Let's get them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them.
