Simplistic
I have my FSB @ 1200 in the BIOS and I have it set to Unlinked and I did not touch the ram at all. It is all set to AUTO. I need help configuring it to where it should be. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. :D
Simplistic
Alright now I set the Ram to 4-4-4-12 2t 24 @ 2.1v and NB +05 . Things seem to be better so I still got a freeze in my game. So I then underclocked the Superclocked Evga Vid cards and freeze seems to have stopped. To put the vid cards back? Would I have to change a voltage? Could that have been my problem? (passed mem test btw) Now whenever my computer starts I get this message "windows has recovered from a serious problem" But everything seems fine? I don't understand where this error message is coming from. It is hard to recreate because it is not on a common restart. The comp has to be shut down for an extended amount of time for it to happen again. I also let Prime95 run for 3 hours and there were no problems. Also passed the Nvidia stress tests from the control panel.
Wired
What is the PART NUMBER of your memory? How To Read the Memory Label Try setting the memory to 667 Mhz, as this is recommended with 4 sticks, may want to loosen the timings as well. I have had no problems with windows recognizing them. It's just the freezing of the games that I have only been able to fix by underclocking my evga 8800gtx's to 590/900(1800) instead of the 621/1000(2000)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 19, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 19, 2008 I would contact EVGA and see what they suggest but their might be a new firmware for the Video Card.
Simplistic
hmm I have the most up-to-date drivers. Do you think it could be a power problem with the way their superclocked edition of the 8800 gtx handles it? It's odd that my system is 100% stable by underclocking the vid card. I also loosened my timings on that ram to 5-5-5-12, 2t, 24, @ 2.1v, NB 1.30 volts does that sound about right Ram guy?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 21, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 21, 2008 Yes that sounds right but I was not talking about the drivers, there is a BIOS or Firmware on the Video card just like whats on a MB. I would check with their Tech support and see what they say and if there is a newer Video BIOS for the cards you have.
