HoMenace
I just ordered the TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX, and shortly after i started finding articles online stating the compatibility issues with my Intel DG965WH mobo. Just was wondering if this ram is fully compatible with it because according to Intel you only need a JEDEC 1.8v and 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 timing approved ram to get ddr2 800 ram to work. Also just was wondering what this JEDEC is and if this ram is compliant with it. Heres the link to the ram. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145175 Heres the link to the Intel Support page http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/ddr2/index.htm

Yellowbeard
JEDEC The memory voltage and timings are JEDEC compliant: http://www.corsairmemory.com/products/xms2_dhx.aspx
HoMenace
Ive already seen that but the TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX are on there and they have the exact same specs as the TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX. Voltage and timing is the exact same so I was wondering why mine wouldnt work.

HoMenace
Thanx alot! Ive been a long time corsair user and was going to be upset if i couldnt continue the legacy:D: . If everything does work I think that they should update their compatibility for this motherboard.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 14, 2008 The Two Gig set was actually tested at 1.9 Volts previously is why they were not listed. However, the version we make now will run at 1.8 Volts so I will check into adding them.

HoMenace
Everything is still working great but i decided to run memtest86+ and had no errors but i did find it very strange that it saied the ram was ddr 532 running at 266mhz and had timings of 1-1-1-31. Im hoping that this was an error on the programs fault because i looked in my bios and it is running at 800mhz and 5-5-5-18. Just was wondering what you guys think. HoMenace
http://s273.photobucket.com/albums/jj210/homenace/ this even shows that they both are running at 400mhz.
DerekT
this even shows that they both are running at 400mhz. No it doesn't. Your SPD tab only shows the DRAM's "Capabilities". Not it's present speed. Why does your memory tab show nothing? I think you have some BIOS settings messed up or motherboard issues.
HoMenace
Ive added pics of the main bios page and the memory settings page, hopefully this can help you guys figure this out. http://s273.photobucket.com/albums/jj210/homenace/
DerekT
If you are stable, then I wouldn't worry about it. For some reason, the board is not giving the proper readings. Very likely why they are not recommended.
