dixon.196
I have the XFX 680i LT SLI motherboard with (4) CM2X1024-6400C5DHX RAM. The BIOS will not auto detect with all 4 DIMMS. It only works with 3 and under. Please post the CL, RCD, RP, RAS, Command per clock, RRD, RC, WTR, and RRF values required to overclock. I contacted nVideo (XFX) the motherboard manufactor; they stated in needed to overclock in order to use 4GBs since the BIOS did not auto detect. Additionally, they stated Corsair should be able to give me the appropriate values for overclocking.
Wired
They said you need to OC the system for it to recognize 4 sticks? That makes no sense!
DerekT
The overclocking will not make a difference to DRAM slots recognizing the sticks populated in it. Can you test a single stick in each slot. Does that work? If so, check and see if you have installed the setting to remap your memory in the BIOS. Check for this setting and enable it. Are you using a 64bit operating system?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 14, 2008 I think they were trying to say with 4 modules you would need to set the memory frequency at DDR667 and then you can over clock the CPU to get the memory up to DDR800 or close to it. And you can get the tested settings from the link in my signature.
