Do i have to send both ram sticks back when only one of my sticks are bad? I really dont want to go without my pc while I wait for my ram to come back.

Is there a downside to only sending 1 back?

Also. My mobo doesn't show in any lists for the compatibility. Is that a bad thing?

These modules will be need to replaced as a set. This is to ensure you receive a matched pair in return and that there are no compatibility issues with a replacement module. Can you describe the issues you are having? If you are sure that one of them is bad then please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them.

I did to the online rma I just wanted to see if I had to send them both in.. I was playing a video game and my screen just went black and the music i was listening to stopped, but the PC was still on so I reset and it did it again 5 minutes later, but this time when i reset it I was getting a continuous beep which by my knowledge means ram problems with the Award BIOS.

I then tried each stick solo in the DIMM1 slot and the first one still gave me beeps, but the 2nd was fine and I am using the pc right now with 1 good stick in.

Ramguy do u know why my Mobo isn't in any list for compatibility? Is that a problem? Its a brand new MSI K9MM-V.

I think there is some confusion somewhere. The ram I have is 2 1gb pc6400 DDR2 800mhz ram sticks.. The product code suggests it's 2X 2gigs (atleast thats what I see TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX)

The Mobo supports up to 2bgs and it has 2 DIMM slots. When i had both sticks in the POST showed I had 2gb detected. So I would think that it is fine with the ram.

I was just curious as to why my MOBO didn't show in the compatible list since there was a lot of MSI boards there.
