eon_designs
Hello Using ASUS P5K Premium Wifi motherboard with Quad core Q6600 (G0 version) Originally only had 2GB ram, but decided to get another 2GB as I have just upgraded to Vista (32bit) and it is a bit memory hungry. Originally purchased Corsair TwinX DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500 (1066) Cas 5, arrived with sticker on the side giving timings 5,5,5,15 and 2.15v Just purchased another set of the same ram, however this one has the same timings, but has a different voltage - 2.2v The revision on the second set is a higher rev than the first set. Should I be running these at 2.2 or 2.15v? Also, as I now have all 4 memory slots full is it better to increase the Northbridge Volts to keep stability - want to run the ram as close to 1066 as possible. System is overclocked to 9 x361 at present Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 13, 2008 I would recommend setting the memory voltage to 2.2v. Let us know if you have any problems!
