notorious_one
I have two CM2X1024-6400 ram sticks. Worked fine for a year. Got new keyboard "merc stealth" then things started to happen after. HD crashed and one ram stick failed says the comp. techs. i paid to get a diagnostic done on my computer. Bought new hard drive and got it running properly. Surf the net for about 10 mins after all drivers installed and good to go. Note: only running on one of the ram sticks. All of a sudden my computer reboots, but nothing shows on screem. The monitor has nothing going through to it as it seems, no POST or anything appears. All I hear are 3 beeps, a long one and then 2 short quick beeps. I swapped the memory stick to all 4 slots on my mobo and seems like nothing is working. The monitor led light lits green for like 1 sec. and goes orange aka standby. I sent in my info and everything for exchange but needed more help in feeling me in with the issue. I have a M2N32-SLI Deluxe mobo, I howly doubt it that a keyboard can be the issue causing the ram failures! I'm a "newbie" in computers stuff. I'm totally lost. Need help asap! thnx! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 12, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2008 Shut the system down, and remove the power cord from the back of the system. Next you will want to clear the RTC RAM / CMOS / BIOS. There are instructions on how to do this on page 2-19 in your motherboard manual. Make sure the memory is inserted in the slot closest to the CPU, and then power the system on. If you still have the same issues then lets get the memory replaced! please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. I've completed the RMA last night and also called tech support today and I should be getting my RMA number and info within 2 hrs.
