vorlonuk
I've just recently purchased an HX520 which is working fine, but I have noted the SATA connector quality varies with some plugs not making as good a contact as others. The Corsair SATA cables are made up with two sata connector types, 1 x Straight Through Plug and 1 X Termination Plug. The termination plugs fit tightly but the Straight through plugs have a looser fit. I know from my electronic experience that these types of plugs rely on a friction type fit and you can see on the Straight Through Plugs that the contacts protude less than on the Termination plugs. Is Corsair keeping an eye on the quality of components like this, that could essentially cause problems with any SATA powered device? I would RMA mine but I'm 99% sure I'd probably get the same. Can these SATA modular cables be purchased seperately? If the quality improved I'd like to have a couple spare.
EliteKiller
The good news is that you do not need to RMA the psu. :D: Instead you can email Ramguy@corsairmemory.com with the subject line ATT: Ramguy, and be sure to include your name, phone number and address, along with your cable request. Otherwise call Corsair customer service directly at 888-222-4346 and press "0" to speak with a CSR.

I had phoned tech support in the US and didn't get anywhere. I had also emailed customer support, but haven't had a reply. Not sure if Corsair have a UK office? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 11, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 11, 2008 Would you be able to post a picture of both the good and bad cables so we can see what you are referring to?
